Bio
Jehisson Santacruz is a Colombian transdisciplinary artist whose practice spans sound, painting, performance, video and community-based Ateliers. With a background in philosophy, literature, and transdisciplinary arts/sciences, he explores how art can function as a booster of social technology of care and transformation.
His work weaves together ancestral memory, ecology, and contemporary poetics. Through painting, he creates archives of injustice and resilience. Music merges as dances that become a form of prayer. His performances operate as rituals of remembrance and healing, re-signifying colonial and ecological histories while activating spaces of share, revitalization and togetherness.
Santacruz has collaborated internationally, including with the Marina Abramović Institute at Kunsthaus Zürich; at the World Ethic Forum and the Library for a Happy Future in Switzerland. His practice positions art as both action and transformation — a current where image, sound, and gesture converge toward collective healing.
